Whether you are new to the club or an existing member, you may not know everything about CancerFightClub! We are an innovative support initiative for young adults (18-39) living with cancer and their supporters, that was created by Hope & Cope, Jewish General Hospital/McGill University. You are reading this blog, so you at least now know about our national online health resource for young adults living with cancer and their supporters. But, did you know that we are the only online cancer resource created solely for all young adults (regardless of diagnosis) that is completely bilingual? And, that we also have online communities through our Facebook and Twitter social media channels? We offer a number of unique programs that are free of charge including an easy-cheap-healthy-quick cooking club, dance club, exercise club/personal training programs and retreats for the general young adult cancer community and for the metastatic/advanced cancer community (Club Mets). In addition, CancerFightClub offers community events (e.g. BBQs, movie afternoons, etc.), educational workshops, #MAYACC monthly tweet chats for young adults living with metastatic and/or advanced illness, and co-hosts the #AYACSM monthly tweet chats for advocates of young adults living with cancer.
Today we are launching another social media platform: a YouTube channel, and our first video, thanks to support from our friends at the Antony Proteau Fund! Check it out, share it, subscribe to our channel and most importantly remember that until there is a cure, there is a club. #JoinTheClub!!!
