Winter retreat 2014
January 16, 2014

CancerFightClub Montreal* is pleased to host our second winter retreat! Taking place at Le Manoir du Lac Delage just outside of Quebec City, this event promises to be an awesome time for young adult cancer fighters/survivors to get to know one another and gain valuable tools that can help throughout their cancer journey. This year’s theme continues to build upon last year’s look at self-expression and is titled «Express Yourself Don’t Stress Yourself». We will explore healing through self-care and the different ways that we can express ourselves!
Besides awesome workshops that will explore this theme, the weekend also offers a safe place to talk about cancer with people who get it. In addition, the hotel offers a wide range of amenities, including a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, a sauna, physical conditioning equipment for those so inclined, ping-pong, pool and foosball tables, as well as board games. We will also have access to other outdoor activities such as tobogganing, snow-shoeing, hockey, skating and walking trails.
This retreat would not be possible without the tremendous support from the Antony Proteau Fund. Antony Proteau was a vibrant member of the young adult cancer community in Montreal. On April 3rd, 2010, Antony Proteau passed away at the young age of 23. His close friends put together this fund to commemorate his life in a meaningful way. Check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/AP12fund and their website at https://www.ap12fund.com
The winter retreat received more requests than ever before, so we are currently booked solid and have a waiting list! If you are unable to attend this event stay tuned to hear more about our summer retreat!
